A 50% deposit of the total room cost including taxes is required to secure your reservation. Once the booking has been processed, you will receive a Reservation Confirmation email that outlines a summary of your booking. Payments can be made with credit card (Visa, Master Card and American Express), PayPal, or bank transfer. Payments made using credit cards or PayPal will incur an additional fee of 4%. Please contact us for bank transfer details.

The remaining balance of your total room cost including taxes is due on arrival at Sanara Tulum. Sanara Tulum accepts cash (Mexican Pesos, US Dollars and Euros), and credit card (Visa, Master Card and American Express). Traveler’s Checks are no longer accepted. Alternatively you may pay your hotel room balance via bank wire transfer. Please contact us at email@example.com if you would like us to send you bank account details and wire transfer instructions. Please ensure you confirm your payment with us via email. On check out an optional 13% hotel services and gratuities charge will be added. All restaurant costs include an additional 15% service charge.
We highly recommend that all of our guests purchase Travel Insurance, which is generally inexpensive, but can really save a lot of financial loss and emotional distress if an unforeseen event occurs. We recommend your travel insurance will cover you for airline flight and accommodation cancellations especially during the hurricane season. We also recommend you are consider coverage for accident, illness, medical evacuation and theft.
Holiday Period Additional Terms & Conditions
Holiday Periods are defined as:
December 20th 2016 - Jan 7rd 2017 - Christmas/New Year
March 25th - March 29th 2016 - Easter
November 22nd - November 28th 2016 - Thanksgiving
We require a six-night minimum booking for holiday reservations during the Christmas and New Years holiday period and a four-night minimum booking during the Easter and Thanksgiving holiday periods.
50% payment is required on booking for these dates, with the remaining 50% payment 7 days prior to arrival.
Accessibility, Extra Person, Children, and Pet Policies
Due to our terrain, Sanara Tulum is unfortunately not an accessible property for guests with disabilities or limited mobility.
Children under 11 years of age are not generally able to be accommodated at Sanara Tulum both due to the design and layout of the property and the healing and wellness aspect of the hotel. We have certain family friendly times of the year - please inquire for dates and information.
Extra guests in Tamarind Rooms are charged at $40/night per child under 16 and $100 per adult and limited to 2 children or one adult. Jungle Papaya Rooms do not have the capacity to accommodate additional guests.
Pets are not permitted in rooms at Sanara Tulum at this time.
Securing a reservation with your deposit means you accept the terms and conditions of our Cancellation Policy.
Requests for changes to your reservation must be made in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org and confirmed as received to acknowledge and resolve your request.
Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to check-in date will receive a refund of the deposit/amount paid less ONE NIGHT as detailed in the invoice or the option of a CREDIT, which is valid for one year from cancellation date. In the event of a credit, a 5% administration fee on the total of the booking will be applied.
Cancellations made between 31 and 60 days prior to check-in date will receive a 50% refund of the deposit/amount paid or the option of a CREDIT toward future stays, which is valid for one year from the cancellation date. In the event of a credit, a 5% administration fee on the total of the booking will be applied.
Cancellations made less than 30 days from the check-in date will forfeit 100% of the deposit/amount paid.
All CREDITS are subject to availability and based on rates as per our published room rates.
All refunds are payable by PayPal or credit card refund and are subject to PayPal/credit card fees and the terms and conditions of those institutions. We do not issue refunds by bank transfer at this time. Please considering taking out Travel Insurance to protect against unexpected cancellations.
No shows will be charged at the full booking price.
We do not issue refunds or credits for flight cancellations, due to any circumstances. Please consider taking out Travel Insurance to protect against flight cancellations.
Any changes to your reservation must be received no less than 30 days prior to your original arrival date via email, and changes are subject to availability. There are no refunds or credits issued for reservation changes within 30 days of the arrival date that reduce the number of nights stayed.
There are no refunds or credits issued for early checkouts.
There are no refunds or credits issued due to bad weather, tropical storms or hurricanes or any other situation beyond our control; including any inconvenience or complication caused by a hurricane’s direct hit, near miss, or significant threat of a hurricane strike. Hurricanes are unpredictable by nature. Please take out Travel Insurance to protect against these types of unforeseen events.
Sanara Tulum is not liable for any other costs, evacuation or inconveniences caused by a tropical storm or hurricane.
All credits issued are valid for one year from the original cancellation date. A credit can only be used for Hotel Room Reservations at Sanara Tulum and cannot be used for hotel services. A credit can be transferred to another person provided we have written authorization from you and subject to availability.
Sanara Tulum and its employees shall not liable for any damages caused mentally or physically as a result of, or in connection with:
-Any delays or cancellations. In the event of a traveler becoming ill during a vacation, or having to cut their vacation short. All hospital and medical expenses are the traveler's responsibility.
-Monetary crises, social unrest, political or labor problems, economic changes, electrical outages due to weather, mechanical maintenance or construction difficulties, for any claims, losses, damages, costs, expenses, delays or loss of enjoyment, of any nature or kind whatsoever resulting from events beyond our or a supplier's reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of Nature (hurricanes, mudslides, earthquakes), flight cancellations or changes, strikes, labor disputes, lockouts, threats or acts of terrorism, acts of war or declared war, hurricanes or weather conditions, diseases or epidemics/pandemics, novel or unexpected conditions and local laws.
-Any liability caused by malpractice, accident or error of independent practitioners providing services in the Wellness Center.
-Absence of travel documents, visas, passports, health certificates where required. Sanara Tulum is not responsible for advisement of travel and entry requirements.
-Loss of items that are not secured in the hotel safe, or for losses incurred when rooms are not locked.
