Q: Do you have a restaurant and do you sell alcohol?
A. Yes we are delighted that our celebrated "The Real Coconut:restaurant and and bar is really well received as part of the Tulum culinary landscape. Our mixologists in the bar can create what ever flavorful beverage you wish for.
Q: Is Sanará bookable for groups?
A: Yes and No. We receive multiple daily requests from people seeking to lead retreats or what we choose to term "group experiences" . However we cherish the energy across our space, and often a group that takes over the space can be disruptive to what is central to Sanará - Sanará's own daily yoga schedules supporting guests from hotels up and down the beach;, our restaurant and bar activities; our Wellness Center programs and therapists. as well as our guests who have been recommended Sanara. So we have a policy of only saying "Yes" during certain "non peak" times of the year to groups that we feel can enhance what is central to the Sanará experience for all of us at any given time, and then only to those groups who are in their own resouces flow to pay our quoted room rates as we help bring what we love about Sanará and its surrounding to the gathering. So Yes to lovely group experiences rather than us retreating from a retreat that is looking for a luxury location at a discounted price. Another stipulation is that all food and drink is treated as "a la carte" as we do not include any all -inclusives within our pricing ,
If having read this as a group leader you wish to contact us, we will be delighted to work with you on a sensational event!
Q: Do you allow children at Sanará?
A: Due to both the design and layout of the property and the healing and wellness aspect of the hotel, children under 8 years of age are not generally able to be accommodated at Sanara Tulum. Saying that we do seem to have many family friendly times of the year and for all ages! - please inquire for dates and information. Our owners, Daniella and Charlie have 5 children between them 16 years and under, as well as being governors of the K-6 gradeTulum International School.
Q. Can I bring my beloved (service) dog?
A. This a tricky one ...We love dogs. however we have experienced a few guests taking advantage of our soft approach. by coming with two dogs rather than the agreed one service dog. Other times dogs have barked or made mess. We therefore now have a policy for a case by case decision regarding therapy dogs and we charge a $500 fee for one dog to stay, plus an additional $100 a night after the first 4 nights. This may seem severe and yet our beloved 4 legged friends are more of a maintenance than an extra guest.
Q: How far is Sanará Tulum from Cancun Airport?
A: We are located 70-80 mins drive south of Cancun along the coastline dual highway and 40 minutes past Playa del Carmen - see Location. We can organize transportation to and from the hotel, or suggest hire car options.
Q: Is Mexico safe to travel to?
A: Yes, we can confidently say that Tulum, and the state of Quintana Roo is an extremely safe destination, catering for 16 million tourists a year.. Our owners and many of our international staff members personally feel safer here amongst the Mayans than on the streets of the US or Europe, and the reason why we all chose to make Tulum our home and bring up children here.
Q: Can we just book a room at Sanará without taking part in yoga classes or wellness programs?
A: Yes, we are delighted to welcomeall guests to choose us for your holiday. Take a look at our room details as well as food and drink andcontact reservations for availability. Stay with us and participate in our programs and activities as you wish. The beach, sunrise and sunset are exclusive to no one!
Q: Where is the nearest hospital/doctor/dentist?
Sanara Tulum is equipped with fully stocked first-aid kits for minor injuries and trained staff. We are proud to be associated with Tulum MD, a first-response medical unit and general practitioner service located on Tulum Beach who can be called in for any medical requirements our guests may have.
For serious emergencies, a paramedic motorbike can be with us in less than 20 minutes, and an ambulance is permanently located at their beach location which can transfer patients to a state-of the-art multi-lingual hospital 40 mins away in Playa Del Carmen.
